“Qantas Airways contracted DCSwa to carry out an upgrade on the Site Main Switchboard and standby 1250KVa generator at Qantas Catering in 2015. This switchboard supplies power to 3 main areas of our business at Perth Airport. Catering, Freight and engineering.
DCS assisted in providing the scope and requirements that the new switchboard would have to meet to cover our electrical supply needs to the three buildings. The scope included design drawings, manufacture and supply of new switchboard, supply of standby generator, new site consumer mains to the transformer, removal of existing redundant switchboard and to maintain electrical supply to the three building at all times during the changeover.
The project was carried out with professionalism and efficiency with a high level of consultation and communication with our staff to complete the project. Numerous shutdowns were required to complete the works however regardless of this there was minimal interruption to our business as these were carried out in the least amount of time possible and where required, backup power was provided.
